How to Work a Chevron Stitch
A decorative stitch that forms a zigzag pattern, resembling the shape of the letter "V" repeated along a line. It is often used on band samplers, for borders, filling areas, or creating geometric patterns within a design.

Bring needle from back to front at 1, and insert needle at 2; exit a half stitch length to left at 3. Insert needle at 4, and exit a half stitch length to left at 5. Using a sewing motion, insert needle half a stitch length to right at 6 and exit through 4. Using a sewing motion, insert needle at 7 and exit at 8. Note: Needle position 8 is now 1 of next stitch.
