How to Work a 3/4 Cross Stitch

The ¾ cross stitch is a variation of the cross stitch and is primarily used to smooth edges and round corners. It can slant in any direction. As its name reflects, it forms three quarters of the traditional cross stitch "X”. When stitching on Aida, ¾ cross stitches are typically worked over one square, while on linen or evenweave fabric, they are usually worked over two threads.
