Quilting Skill Levels
Beginner
These projects are suitable for a quilter who has been introduced to the basics of cutting, piecing and assembling a quilt top and is working to master these skills. Beginner patterns require the knowledge of how to sandwich, quilt and bind a quilt, but do not require experience with these skills.
Confident Beginner
These projects are suitable for a quilter who has pieced and assembled several quilt tops and is comfortable with the process. Confident Beginner patterns include more challenging techniques and use at least two different techniques.
Intermediate
These projects are suitable for a quilter who is comfortable with most quilting techniques and has a good understanding of design, color and the whole process. Intermediate projects involve multiple techniques and may include paper piecing or bias piecing. The projects may allow for fabric selections other that those listed in the pattern.
Advanced
These projects are challenging designs suitable for a quilter who is willing to try any technique and is able to read, comprehend and complete a pattern. Advanced projects may require selecting fabric suited to the design.
