Annie’s Love to Knit Socks Kit Club is a subscription that includes the gorgeous yarn, patterns and online tutorials you need to knit a new pair of socks with each kit. Each kit features an exclusive sock pattern designed to highlight the unique beauty of each hand-dyed skein of yarn. Try new approaches to classic sock designs and grow your knitting skills with different techniques.
Each hank in your kit is crafted from superwash merino wool and wool blends for soft, smooth and durable yarn that is the perfect weight for socks. Plus, your first kit will include knitting needles U.S. 1.5/2.5 mm, 2/2.75mm and 3/3.25 mm, a 5" cable needle, locking stitch markers and a tapestry needle as free gifts. You will also need common household supplies such as scissors and a ruler.
Your membership includes exclusive access to online video tutorials for each kit! Your first kit also includes access to a video tutorial for basic sock knitting techniques, including 3 ways to knit any pair of socks. Note that some of our knitting tutorial videos are American style and some are Continental. It is OK to knit in a different style than the video instructor. What is important is to watch how the needle goes into the stitch and pulls the yarn through the stitch.
We recommend you have a solid familiarity with knitting and are comfortable with working in the round, using double-point needles and stitching with sock-weight yarn. Patterns include a variety of techniques that go beyond the basic knit and purl stitches.
