How to Work a Feather Stitch

A decorative stitch that creates a soft, flowing line of stitches resembling the delicate barbs of a feather. It's versatile and often used for borders, filling, and adding organic, free-form lines to designs. The stitch is characterized by a series of open, looped stitches that can be worked in straight lines, curves, or even as part of more complex patterns.

Insert needle at 4, and exit at 5, passing floss under needle point. Note: Needle position 5 is now 1 of next stitch.
